Tools to Create a Single Information Space of Industrial Companies
Nikolay Grigoryevich MARKOV
Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Head of Department of Computer Engineering, Tomsk National Research Polytechnic University
Abstract
Creation of a single information space (SIS) of modern industrial companies involves a number of issues, among which the most important is the challenge of integrating the companies’ information systems by production data. The article offers approach to solving this task through using industry-related instrumental systems designed to integrate production data. Every production data integration system must take into account specific features of an industry and function as an adaptable tool for creating single information space of certain companies of the industry. The author enunciates principles of building and proposes the generalized architecture of developing an instrumental production data integration system, as well as basic integration model of production data. The basic software was underlying the development of a production data integration system for oil and gas industry. The system has successfully passed beta testing in a number of companies.
Key words: Single IT space, industrial company, information systems, end-to-end management information system, corporate single information space.
